Yeah I know that saying, but well, it doesn’t apply to me anymore. I got it REAL bad, when I was a kid. Me and my cousins swam in fish ponds I also remember insisting to my cousin to let me eat overriped fruits just to see if it would really make me sick, like he said it would.

Thinking about the things I did as a kid now make me think I was… hmmm… overly curious. (NOT crazy, I hope?)

The voice… hm, I got it tamed when I was a bit older. I didn’t hear it whispering to me to try things like alcohol, drugs, marijuana, and other traps teenagers usually fall into. I was well-behaved when I was a teenager. I was a “late bloomer.” Hehehehe

There was a deep well in the compound. I was told not to go very near it because I might fall. I asked what would happen if I fell. I was told I’d get drowned. They said the water was very deep, and cold.

Now, the curious me wanted to know if it was really deep and cold. If I’d really drown. One day, I went to the well. I gazed at the very still water, at my reflection beckoning me to jump. And you know what, I really wanted to.

But just then my older cousin arrived. Of course, I pretended I was just passing by the well.

You know what? Sometimes, I still wonder what I would have done had my cousin didn’t arrive.
